As I ventured further into the digital medium, I realized that I had not created many portraits. In a way, this digital painting was a personal challenge. I decided to create a character who is unpleasant, conniving, and oozing with falsehood. I explored how morphing certain facial characteristics into known bestial features could enhance her characterization. For instance, I morphed her nose, ears, and face shape to resemble a pig which is often associated with greed. The shades of green throughout her hair, clothing, jewelry, and eyes together unify her core motives- which is to separate the viewer from their cold, green cash. The red background also creates contrast with the green clothing, giving the piece an uneasy tone. Overall, it was an incredibly enjoyable piece to create; the most difficult part of this piece is definitely the intertwining hands.
