Artist Statement

The undertones of my art often reflect personal experiences which are further driven by social issues. Through art, I am connected with the world and strive to find fulfillment in creativity. Often, I trace the roots back to my Chinese heritage as a source of inspiration; I use symbols such as dragons, lanterns, and nature as part of my message. When looking at my art, try to imagine an ordinary girl who is not so different from yourself. Try to imagine yourself in my position, in front of that canvas.
