Recently, I've been experimenting with digital art using my Wacom drawing tablet. It's an extremely powerful medium, but the learning curve is a steep one! This summer, I'll be creating more digital pieces to enhance my learning.
For this piece, I wanted to practice human proportion and poses. This female archer is standing still in the middle of a dust storm carrying a wooden bow. I experimented with different types of brushes in Photoshop Elements for the layers of dust and highlights in the hair. Although I'm very proud of this piece, I have a long way to go!
Some goals I'm setting myself for future digital pieces is to focus on mood, atmosphere, and brushwork.

Here are some pictures of my process!
1. Sketch

2. Defining shape and form

3. Lineart

4. Base Coloring

5. Adding shadows

6. Adding highlights to skin and hair

7. Adding highlights to body

8. Final touches to bow and background
