Ink is a very unpredictable medium where results are unique in every piece. First, you add a generous amount of water to the paper. Then, you drip potent ink onto the canvas and watch it explode in vibrant color. The watercolor-like effects memorizing and I was pleasantly surprised with the final product. I will definitely be creating more ink pieces in the future!

The first piece, to me, resembles an octopus trapped in a glass box. The deep ink soaked onto the paper creating value and form.

For my final piece, I decided to use pen and outline the shapes that I saw. I stayed true to the spontaneous ink movements and conjured a mystical bug-like creature.
