White Rock Hospice Society Dove

The intent of this dove was to illustrate the feeling a child gets when they accidentally let go of their treasured balloon. They watch it float up towards the endless sky, feeling as if they couldn't do a thing to stop it. The balloon gets smaller and smaller until you can no longer see it. After mourning their loss, the child starts to appreciate the balloon more in its absence. Instead of worrying about the what-ifs, they focus on celebrating the joy the balloon brought them and honor their memory by spreading the happiness.
