From October 20-22, I participated in an annual film challenge where student groups have 48 hours to create a 7 minute short film. A theme and prop is given and our film needs to reflect them in a meaningful way. It's a fast-paced environment where time, good planning, and teamwork is everything. This year, the theme was "Between a rock and a hard place" and we had to incorporate a radio into the film.

Below are some pictures that give a glimpse to an otherwise rewarding weekend! Credits to Devin Ma for all the behind-the-scenes pictures!

Our actor, Cody Sigouin, is an avid baseball player so we decided to base the film around his baseball ambitions.

The role I played in the team was Art director and project manager. I oversaw the overall atmosphere of the film while making sure the cinematographers (Jonathan Zhao and Jason Xu) had all the shots needed for the editors to work with.

Our team went to Crescent Park and made a few friend! Bert, the seagull, was very impressed by our food supply and let us pose for a picture!

Overall, our team learned a lot about overcoming obstacles (it rained for the majority of the filming day) and keeping spirits high despite the challenging time restraints. I know, personally, it would be an unforgettable weekend!
